Silicone Foam Dressing
Intended Use：
It is used in surgical wounds with more exudate and urology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, and ophthalmology.
Silicone gel foam dressings have a five-layer structure:
Silicone gel layer
Foam absorbent layer
One-way flow layer
Highly absorbent liquid storage layer
Semi-permeable membrane layer
Application:
Various surgical incisions (available after surgery).
Vulnerable wounds of surrounding skin (lower limb ulcers, cancerous wounds, pyoderma, pressure ulcers, etc).
Painful wounds (radiation injury, etc).
Other types of chronic wounds.
Advantages:
Unlike traditional gauze, after it absorbs the liquid, the surface layer of the dressing has a porous structure, low surface tension, no adhesion to the wound surface, good air permeability, elasticity, softness, plasticity, lightness, and stable physical and chemical properties. The gas exchange is beneficial for healing wounds, and it will not cause pain to the patient during a dressing change, and the operation is simple and convenient.
On the one hand, the gentle pressure of the foam produces capillary attraction, which has the effect of absorbing liquids and exudates. On the other hand, it reduces the stress of edema wound tissue, which can promote the improvement of microcirculation, which is conducive to the growth of granulation tissue. This process can improve microcirculation and is conducive to developing granulation tissue. This process can prevent inflammation. Because of this excipient's relatively simple dressing change, the cost of patient visits is significantly reduced.
