Calcium Alginate Dressing

Intended Use:

Indications: The product is suitable for the absorption of moderate to large amounts of exudate on body surface wounds, such as pressure sores, diabetic foot, venous ulcers, anal fistula wounds, and burns, providing a micro-environment for wound healing

Product Performance:

These calcium alginate wound dressings are made of alginate fibres. When exudate from a wound comes in contact with the dressing, the sodium alginate present in the fibres absorbs the exudative fluid to form a soft gel. The soft gel is intended to create a moist wound environment at the wound surface to promote wound healing. Calcium Alginate Dressing The gel formed by the dressing does not adhere to the delicate healing tissues in the wound bed.

Instructions for Use

Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin gently. Select the right size of dressing for the wound area. Carefully open the sterile pouch to remove the dressing inside.Calcium Sodium Alginate. A secondary dressing is necessary when using calcium alginates. If needed, cut the tape and dressing using sterile scissors. Dampen dressing with sterile water or saline solution to avoid damaging the surrounding skin, then secure it to the wound area.
